He has a bit of everything, Mid Century to Shabby chic with traditional to even out the theme.


He got into this business due to his LOVE of furniture design.

While not hunting and collecting, his real time profession is being a “Home Organizer” making time for gardening, landscaping, bird watching and anything to do with Interior Design.

Steven specializes in industrial items, breweriana and odd or unusual antique items. He particularly likes Simmons metal furniture. He considers himself an expert as it pertains to brewery collectibles, including but not limited to beer signs, cans, bottles, trays, etc…

His parents were antique collectors; often visiting flea markets, estate sales, etc….He quickly caught on and found himself in attics, basements and crawl spaces, searching for that holy grail of antiques. He would venture out seeking old dumps, digging for old bottles and porcelain signs.

Steven has been an insurance professional for over thirty years and has been a Claims Manager for a large insurance company for the past seventeen years.

There is never a dull moment in Steve’s life. He has a variety of hobbies including herpetology, arrowhead hunting and collecting, fossil hunting, stock research and investing, writing books and poetry, hiking and general physical fitness.

He has published two books; Eternal Prairie;a Landscape in Poetry and Boots and Googles. He is often accompanied in his adventures by Jessica his wife and his two boys, Tyler and Logan who are very supportive of his addictions.

Paula Wheeler DBA LOST ART began her booth space at River Market Antiques on October 1, 2017. You can find her on the 2nd floor, Center aisle towards the South Wall.
Vintage Clothing is her passion but she loves things from the 20th century such as furniture, smalls, table tops & textiles, especially textiles!
She got into the business when her great aunt gave her hats from the 30’s & 40’s when she was 6 or 7 years old and has been smitten with all things vintage ever since.
Her other occupation is working for a home design/furniture center and a freelance book reviewer and copy-writer.
Besides antiques, she loves food whether she’s cooking it herself or checking out a new restaurant in town and they’re all new to her as she recently has moved Back to KC from New York State!
